Access Guide

Welcome!

At Seventeen The Town House we want to make everyone’s stay enjoyable. We are committed to sharing with you arrival and house accessibility information. We aim to accurately describe our facilities and services. Please use the description of the house with the floor plan to ensure the house meets your requirements.

Bath city centre introduced a Clean Air Zone (CAZ) in March 2021. Private Cars are currently exempt from any CAZ charges.

Travel by Public Transport. Bath welcomes intercity train and National Express bus arrivals making it accessible via public transport. Bus or taxi transfer services are accessible from Bath Spa train and central bus station to Seventeen The Town House. Walking will take around 25 minutes from the Bath Spa train station. Public transport details are provided on booking.

Travel by Private driver. We can organise private driver transfers from UK ferry terminals or UK airports. Maxi cars available.

Travel by car. Seventeen The Town House is located in Bath Zone 15 parking area, we have one parking permit for Zone 15. There is a parking space for a small car to reverse park through stone gate posts from the main road. The front drive is gravel with a small incline to the front steps and a path to the right of the gravel drive.

Seventeen The Town House is a traditional Grade II listed Georgian townhouse built ciGround Floor. There is a wooden bannister & handrail leading up to the first floor in the entrance hallway. The ground floor is all on one level and there are no steps on this floor between rooms. Doorways may not all be standard width due to the age of the house. The kitchen provides dishwasher, washing machine, eco dryer, microwave, oven, kettle, kitchen mixer, toaster, clothes wrack, iron, ironing board, mop & bucket, hand vacuum, high chair & fridge freezer. Children’s cutlery, melamine bowls, cups & dishes are available. Braun food blender is available. Under floor heating in the kitchen level tiled floor. Access to the games cupboard is in the dining area. In the hallway there is no access to the housekeeping cupboards. Chairs are without arms at the dining table. Sofa seating is standard height with throws. High Speed WIFI is available throughout the house. Landline is available if required. Digital TV with BT Vision/BT Sport, Netflix, DVD and “Catch up” TV all available. Bluetooth Radio and Sonos speakers available.rca 1810. A full accommodation guide is available in the house. Guests have concierge with their bookings.The house is accessed via four stone steps with a left side wrought iron handrail leading up to the front door. The ceiling height in the house is around 2.5m. Some of the doors are lower due to the age of the property however most adults of 1.90m should be able to walk through the doors.

Ground Floor. There is a wooden bannister & handrail leading up to the first floor in the entrance hallway. The ground floor is all on one level and there are no steps on this floor between rooms. Garden & Terrace. The garden is private and enclosed with access only via the house. There are private terraced gardens either side of the town house garden. Beyond the garden there is rural private land. The back door leads onto 10 stone steps with a wrought iron handrail going up to the terrace. The outdoor dining seating for 7 and sunbrella are on this terrace. Another wrought iron handrail and 5 more stone steps up to the lawn area. The lawn has a small incline and a patio path on the right side leading up to the summerhouse. There are 3 further decking steps leading to the decking with garden furniture and summerhouse with seating. The summerhouse has throws.The BBQ can be moved to the terrace, lawn or decking area. The garden is well maintained.

First Floor. The first floor has no steps between rooms. Three bedrooms and a bathroom lead onto the landing which is at the top of the stairs. All bedding is hypoallergenic. Bed Throws and Hot water bottles available. Bedroom one is super king, Bedroom two is twin or super king and bedroom three is a single bedroom. None of the beds have foot boards so do not restrict length of the bed. All bedrooms have a torch and bedside lights. There is one Travel cot and additional mattress. We have 3 Dyson fans for warmer summer months. The first floor master bathroom has a roll top bath with a rain shower riser & separate handset over it. There is a shower curtain on an oval rail. A nonslip bath mat is available for the bath. A small stool and a baby bath seat are available on request. The WC is standard height. The sink is standard height. Two robe/towel hooks are available next to the rain shower for hanging. A vaccum is available in the bathroom cupboard. The flooring is New England washable material.

Lower ground floor. Accessed via stairs going down with a handrail on the bannister for the lower half of the stairway. There is one small step going down into the bedroom from the lower ground hallway. All bedding is hypoallergenic. Bed throws and hot water bottles available. None of the beds have foot boards so do not restrict length of the bed. The rain shower/wet room room is a level tiled floor in this room. A nonslip bath mat is available for the rain shower area. The WC & sink are standard height. Four robe/towel hooks are available next to the rain shower for hanging.

Fire Safety. Emergency evacuation fire procedures are available in the accommodation guide, all bedrooms and the kitchen. Torches in each bedroom. Fire blanket is in the kitchen. Fire Distinguisher is in the study next to the kitchen.
